About

I was born in London in 1958 and have lived in Newcastle upon Tyne since 1979. I read English and Philosophy at Newcastle University before carrying out research in philosophical aesthetics at Durham University. I worked as a Tutor and Lecturer in philosophy at a number of institutions in the North East of England, writing philosophy and teaching a wide variety of courses.

I am currently Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the North East Centre for Lifelong Learning in Newcastle where I work Mondays to Wednesdays.

I also lead NECLL's national award-winning Explore programme.
